…samples The McGuire Sisters’ version of “Love is Here to Stay”.
Between me and the homie Mark, we probably listened to 25 versions of “Love is Here to Stay”. Mark found that shit.

Storycore: Beats made from Storycorps Clips
Storycore, get it? Like a music genre!
Every Friday, Philadelphia’s NPR affiliate plays a Storycorps entry during Morning Edition. Storycorps is a project aiming to collect audio recordings of people’s personal stories. I always look forward to it, just like a John Butterworth traffic report, or a beat getting dropped in or out of a track at the exact right moment.
While listening to this entry, my friend Mark mentioned something about fashioning a beat from the lady’s voice. So I gave it a shot.
All percussion sounds in the track originated from Trudy Henry (pictured, left). Everything else from an extremely cheap, overused guitar or my mouth.
